How do I find out about coaching courses?
If you want to learn about Level 1 and 2 courses in the region, have a look at the Newsletter from the area Badminton Development officer under "Coaching and Development Information", or contact the Badminton Development Officer Ian Wells directly. In that area, there is a page for coaches and potential coaches including SASP and their Roots2Coaching.

How do I learn more about becoming a Badminton Umpire?
The skills you learn through their courses can help you learn the intricate rules of the modern game, leading into officiating at local or regional events. Once they have been trained, umpires can travel the country, Europe and the rest of the world, getting up close to top class Badminton and top class Badminton players. This is an opportunity open to people of all levels of the game, though obviously it is a big advantage to start with a good basic knowledge of the game. There are teenagers to people in retirement out there Umpiring, so why not get up off your sofa and join this bunch of people that are essential to the game of Badminton in the UK. The organisation has been going since 1952 bringing new people into umpiring the game we all love. Why not become part of the next generation of Umpires and officials?
