One County, Three Badminton Associations
SCBA, SSBA & Veterans
Somerset currently has three separate badminton associations,
one each for Schools Badminton (which actually covers all junior badminton),
the County Veterans and the County itself.
All three are non-profit making with all monies being ploughed back into
promoting badminton in Somerset. Membership at junior level is made up of
clubs and schools. At senior level individual players at affiliated clubs
pay a small subscription together with their club membership.
Badminton is now trying to build a new "joined up" structure where all
the associations work together and no members (or policies) can fall into
the gaps between.
Whether or whenever the associations actually merge is up to their ruling
bodies, but in the meantime there's no doubt we all belong on one website.

This website has been built to work efficiently with both new and old browsers.
If you're using an older browser you might find the layout and formatting
breaks down, but it should still be usable.
The main menu is down the left of the page and you can use the buttons
at the top to switch pages within each selection. The red buttons are links,
grey buttons show you're already on that page and white buttons show the page
doesn't exist.
